St John’s Wood

Hotel inspired, open-plan residence.

Four-bedroom apartment renovation including full design, project management and procurement of FF&E.

The Brief

A summer home reimagined for the whole family.

Area 1,825 sq ft  | Design & planning 3 months | Execution 6 months

We were appointed to oversee the complete renovation of this four-bedroom property within a prestigious mansion block in leafy St John's Wood. Our Kuwait-based clients wanted to enhance the functionality of their summer home to better suit the needs of their multi-generational family.

The key requirement was to create a versatile, open-plan space combining living, casual dining and a home office, all with ample storage throughout. The brief called for hotel-inspired finishes and materials that conveyed a sense of luxury, while keeping comfort and practicality firmly at the forefront of every decision.

The Concept

Understated luxury. Quietly indulgent.

Drawing inspiration from the sophisticated atmosphere of high-end hotels, the design concept embodies contemporary elegance with a quietly indulgent warmth. Muted tones and carefully selected luxury materials set the foundation, chosen as much for their durability as their beauty.

Velvet and boucle upholstery, smoked mirror, Venetian plaster walls and bronze metal accents create a softly feminine aesthetic that feels considered rather than contrived. Glass chandeliers and wall lights add a touch of opulence without overpowering the calm. The result is a seamless blend of luxury and comfort, an interior that feels effortlessly elegant and genuinely liveable.
